How It Works
These packaging materials contain VCI – Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor – a volatile chemical substance that dissipates and forms a protective layer on the metal surface, preventing corrosion caused by moisture, oxygen, and other environmental contaminants while the packaging remains sealed. VCI Active Packaging is available in papers, plastic films, raffia, reinforced laminates, and other forms, and is used by various industrial sectors, including metallurgy, automotive, steel, aerospace, and electronics, where protection against corrosion is essential to the integrity of the products.
